Continuing the 'troops on the frontier' connection, I was curious to see what the Temple of Mithras, in the City of London, looked like on Google Earth.

Here it is, lost in the dank shadows by the now semi-derelict Bucklersbury House. Moved, 'reconstructed', and all for a rather sad office block that's about to be demolished after fifty years.

I'm not sure whether the redevelopment of 'Walbrook Square' which involved 'replacing' the temple back in position, is now going ahead, given the recession.

http://www.fosterandpartners.com/News/235/Default.aspx

(for a measured write-up of Bucklersbury House, and the new scheme, see: http://www.postwarbuildings.com/buildings/bucklersbury-house-temple-court

Possibly... My second option looked, frankly, great. But... it was a walled city in a desert, and we've had a few of those.

The third choice has a very faint connection with the second, but is a little bit different. It also has a faint connection (in my head) with Jamie Bell, of Billy Elliot fame (this is more of a clue). Hopefully it won't appear too cheesy or obvious to WOGE-ers. (A fourth, even more urban site, still with a connection to choice two - are you following this? - occurred to me, but is probably way too famous; I'll reveal the stream of associations at the end).

Click for the larger image.

Expecting a solution by sunrise...
