Lost in the shadows. Continuing the 'troops on the frontier' connection, I was curious to see what the Temple of Mithras, in the City of London, looked like on Google Earth.
Here it is, lost in the dank shadows by the now semi-derelict Bucklersbury House. Moved, 'reconstructed', and all for a rather sad office block that's about to be demolished after fifty years.
I'm not sure whether the redevelopment of 'Walbrook Square' which involved 'replacing' the temple back in position, is now going ahead, given the recession.
